Privacy policy
This policy explains what the app does with your information, which is simple, because it does nothing with it.
No accounts. Laurelwell has no sign-in and does not know who you are.
No tracking. The app does not track you across other apps or websites, and contains no advertising or analytics software.
No data collection. Using the app, and using this website, collects nothing: no contact information, no usage data, no device identifiers, no personal information of any kind.
On-device only. The days you practice, your chain, your laurels, and your settings are stored on your device and are never transmitted anywhere. Like all app data, they are included in your device’s own backup if you have one. Deleting the app deletes them.
Health, only if you ask. Laurelwell never reads anything from the Health app. If you turn on Log your practices in Health in Settings, each practice of a minute or more is added to Mindful Minutes in Health as one entry: its start time and its end time, nothing else. Apple asks your permission first, and you can take it back any time in the Health app or by turning the switch off. That entry then belongs to Health, which Apple’s own privacy policy covers. With the switch off, which is how the app begins, your practices stay in Laurelwell.
The daily nudge. If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules it on your device through iOS. No notification passes through any server, and nothing about when you practice leaves the phone.
Evergreen. The one purchase inside the app is handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and keeps the receipt. The app never sees your payment information. Apple’s own privacy policy covers that purchase.
Sharing a laurel. If you share a laurel, its picture is drawn on your device and handed to the app you choose, such as Messages. Nothing is sent unless you send it, and Laurelwell never learns where it went.
The lock screen. During a practice, its name and jewel show on your lock screen through iOS, so you can pause it there. That stays on the device.
Laurelwell is suitable for anyone, and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
If Laurelwell’s data practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the date below will reflect that change. Questions are welcome. Write to us at info [at] 101editions.com
